Double fridge – does it really mean more space?

|
It takes approx. 1 minutes to read this article

A double fridge, or so-called side by side fridge, is ideal for families who appreciate having plenty of space for groceries. In addition, it looks very attractive.

Double fridge capacity

Capacity is definitely one of the biggest advantages of a double fridge. It usually exceeds 600 liters in total capacity, so it can fit a large amount of food of different types, such as tall cakes or bottles of wine, more massive vegetables or large pieces of meat. One side of the double fridge houses the freezer and the other the refrigerator, with the latter providing much more space.

Advantages and disadvantages

A big advantage of a double fridge is that it is often equipped with features such as differentiated and adjustable shelves and drawers, as well as ice cube makers, dispensers, additional quick access doors or multimedia displays. It’s worth remembering, however, that a double fridge may not work well in a small kitchen. It’s not too tall (about 178 cm), but it’s quite wide (about 91 cm). So it may turn out that instead of gaining more space in the kitchen, you will only lose it.
